The ǿӰ Master of Science in Athletic Training program is an accredited (by the ) professional graduate program preparing students for careers as Certified Athletic Trainers (ATC). expects the demand to grow “much faster than average” for athletic trainers.
ǿӰ’s program combines hands-on clinical education experiences and comprehensive classroom coursework in preventative medicine, emergency care, clinical diagnosis, therapeutic intervention and rehabilitation of injuries, and medical conditions – preparing students to work in a variety of settings.

Please note: ǿӰ is no longer accepting applications for the Master's in Athletic Training Program or direct-entry Freshman program
High school applicants to Saint Mary can benefit from direct admission to ǿӰ’s accelerated five-year track in athletic training. Earn a Bachelor of Science in Health and Sport Sciences and a Master of Science in Athletic Training.
In the direct-entry path, you’ll have the confidence of knowing that you have a guaranteed seat in the ǿӰ master’s program, so long as you meet key academic milestones.
Admission Requirements:
- ACT composite of at least 21 or English/Math Accuplacer of at least 265
- 3.5 high school GPA, including all science coursework
Key Academic Milestones:
- Maintain a cumulative undergraduate GPA of 3.5
- C or better in undergraduate prerequisite coursework
- Maintain good conduct standing at ǿӰ

Program Tracks
Students interested in earning a Master of Science in Athletic Training have two curricular track options at the ǿӰ. Upon completion of either track, graduates are eligible to take the National Board of Certification examination.
